Deya is a sweet girl who is looking for someone to give her the loving home she has missed out on so far. She is a lovely black, wire-haired dog with a small white patch on her chest. Similar in size to a Labrador, Deya has a very affectionate nature and enjoys being close to people.
She was found in a kill shelter in Romania with no known history. We don’t know how she ended up there, but her loving personality and comfort around humans lead us to believe she was once raised around people before being abandoned or picked up by dog catchers.
Deya is quite a funny girl. In many of her photos she looks as though she has just spotted a rather large spider in the corner of the room! She may not be the most photogenic pup, but in person she is a really sweet girl with a gentle and affectionate nature. Now that she has left the shelter and moved into temporary foster care, she is enjoying life in a home environment and loves being curled up indoors where it is warm and cosy.
She gets on well with other dogs and could happily share her forever home with a doggy sibling. Having another dog around could also help guide her, as it is possible this would be Deya’s first permanent home. She has not yet been cat tested, but this is something we could arrange for an interested adopter.
Deya would benefit from a home that can provide routine and help her learn boundaries. She will thrive in a stable environment where she knows what to expect, which will help her continue to build confidence. As she is still young, she will need support with training. When she makes her way to our UK kennels, she will receive a head start through our Doggy Dens Bootcamp to help ensure she makes a positive first impression on potential adopters.
