Our baby bear Julio is back with us after things didn’t work out with his last adopters. He is absolutely gorgeous, he takes the nickname “Little Bear” very seriously with fluffy brown fur that lightens around his eyes, ears and shoulders.

Originally a rescue from Romania, he was pulled from a kill shelter and sent to the UK in order to find a permanent home.

Julio is very sociable, constantly ready to welcome everyone with hugs and kisses. He would suit many different family arrangements. Despite his fluffy fur, he is comparable in size to a Collie or Labrador, seeming smaller when wet because of the weight of his coat. Julio loves water and is a true water baby. Ideally, we picture him in a seaside residence where he can frolic in the waves, yet even a puddle would satisfy his love for water.

He is well behaved with other dogs and could share a home with a canine housemate. He can be a little rambunctious in play so we would prefer if he is homed with another dog who shares his enthusiasm. Julio would be just as content in a home as the sole dog as long as he gets a nice long daily walk and some time in the evening to curl up and have a cuddle. Julio was raised around cats and showed no issue with them, he has the potential to live with cats but we would like to conduct a proper cat test before we send him out to a home with them.

Julio’s playful nature and enthusiasm make him a great companion for active families with older children. His energy and willingness to learn new tricks will keep everyone entertained. With consistent training and socialization, Julio can become a well-mannered and loving addition to any household. Overall, Julio’s loyalty and eagerness to please make him a lovable and charming pet for the right family.

His training with us mostly consisted of lead walking, which he now excels in. Julio can be excitable at the beginning of a walk but this is likely due to him being happy to be out of his kennel. Once the walk has begun properly he is happy to walk nicely beside you, stopping every now and again for a good sniff or to say hello to people walking past, showing off his handsome features.
