Murphy is a 1 year old Spaniel cross with a huge personality and endless enthusiasm. Full of beans and always on the go, this handsome black-coated boy is incredibly affectionate, intelligent and ready to learn. His innocent eyes may suggest otherwise, but Murphy is always looking for his next adventure!

Murphy came into our care after living in an unsuitable home where he had very little training, socialisation or routine. Since arriving at our Nottinghamshire kennels, he has made fantastic progress and is already learning his manners, enjoying his training and becoming a much happier, more settled young dog.

Murphy will need an active home committed to continuing his training. As a young Spaniel cross, he thrives on mental stimulation, exercise and clear boundaries. Routine, consistency and positive reinforcement will help him continue to flourish.

Murphy is fully muzzle trained and is looking for a confident handler who understands that building trust takes time. He can be reactive and has a bite history, so he will need a very experienced home willing to work alongside a local trainer to continue the excellent progress he has already made. Murphy will benefit from a few meet-and-greet visits before adoption to help build a relationship and allow him to settle at his own pace.

Murphy would suit:

• ❤️ An active, experienced home with time for training and adventure.
• 🐶 Ideally the only dog. He may be able to live with a calm, well-balanced female dog, but this would need very careful management.
• 🚫 No children.
• 🚫 No cats or small furry pets due to his prey drive.
• 🐾 A confident owner who understands under-socialised dogs and is committed to helping him succeed.

Like many Spaniels, Murphy has plenty of character… and yes, he has a strong opinion about the vacuum cleaner—it is most definitely not his friend! 😂❤️🐾

Murphy is a clever, energetic young dog who simply hasn’t had the best start in life. With patience, understanding and the right guidance, he has so much potential. He deserves a home that will see beyond his challenges and give him the chance to become the loyal companion we know he can be.
