We receive no grants or regular sponsorships.
We have to raise ALL the funds to cover ALL the overheads incurred in running the kennels.
This includes:
Wages for our staff, including PAYE, National Insurance & pension contributions
We estimate our running costs for this financial year will be approximately £117,000.
Pay less Corporation Tax when they give the following to charity:
Money
Equipment or trading stock (items it makes or sells)
Land, property or shares in another company (shares in your own company don’t qualify)
Employees (on secondment)
Sponsorship payments
You can claim tax relief by deducting the value of your donations from your total business profits before you pay tax.
There are different rules for sole traders and partnerships and further advice should be sought in these cases.

This is an EASY way to donate money to charity without paying tax on it!
Your employer will make deductions directly from your gross salary, giving you a tax benefit and providing more funds for the causes you care about.
The amount of tax relief you get depends on the rate of tax you pay—so the money that would usually go to the tax man, goes to the charity instead.
Anyone can leave money to a charity in their Will—this is known as a legacy. Gifts to charity are exempt from Inheritance Tax, and if you leave 10% or more of your net estate to good causes, your beneficiaries may pay a reduced rate of tax.
If, like us, you believe that every animal deserves protection, a gift in your Will is a powerful way to make that possible. Please consider leaving a legacy to the Rescue.
If you are a UK taxpayer, signing our Gift Aid declaration allows us to claim the tax back on your donation—at no extra cost to you.
For every £100 donated, we can claim back £25 directly from HMRC.
If you pay tax above the basic rate, you can claim the difference back on your donation through your Self-Assessment tax return or by asking HMRC to adjust your tax code.
