Malcolm is charming his way through our kennels, making friends wherever he goes and letting everyone know how pleased he is to be with us. He’s a delightful young lad with a playful nature and just a bit of maturing still to do. If you’re a confident dog owner looking for your next best friend, Malcolm could be the one for you.

Originally rescued from a kill shelter in Lacram, Romania, Malcolm was brought to our Nottinghamshire kennels to meet potential adopters in person. Since arriving, he has settled in well and continues to impress us all with his sweet personality.

Malcolm absolutely adores his camp bed and teddy, and we’ve started some crate training, which he’s taking to brilliantly. It’s clear to us that he would thrive in a home with a confident, experienced owner, someone familiar with rescue dogs who understands that a confident human often helps build a confident dog.

He definitely has a silly side too. Malcolm loves to play and enjoys tummy tickles from his carers. Though he has grown a lot since he was a pup, he still has a bit more growing to do. We’re making the most of this time by focusing on his training, including lead walking, dog neutrality, and impulse control, with plenty of playtime in between.

Malcolm gets along wonderfully with other dogs and could happily share his future home with a canine companion, following a successful meet and greet. He would also be content as a solo dog, as he enjoys human company and would make a lovely companion for a single owner.

While Malcolm hasn’t had much experience with young children, his gentle nature makes him a good candidate for families with children aged 8 and over, ideally with some experience of dogs.
