If you’re seeking a partner in crime who will join you on adventures by day and snuggle up with you in the evening, then look no further. Ben is a gorgeous, all-black Labrador/Pointer mix with a sleek, soft coat, intelligent brown eyes, and a tongue that often lolls out of one side of his mouth. He’s a cheeky chappy on the lookout for life’s next challenge.
Ben came to us as a young dog with plenty of energy and a bit of trouble listening. It didn’t take us long to realise that he’s more than capable of becoming a brilliant companion who listens well and uses his clever head. He’s a cracking lad, so bright and eager to learn. While he is high-energy, we’re teaching him how to switch off and relax. He happily spends time in his crate with a chew and settles down to sleep through the night.
Ben is friendly with both people and dogs. He’d love a canine companion in the home to keep him company when his owners are out, and he’s always keen to make new doggy friends. He’s even managed to charm Coco, the Caucasian Shepherd! That said, Ben would also be just as happy as the only dog in the household, soaking up all the attention for himself. His ideal adopters will have some experience with high-energy breeds, as Ben is switched on, eager to please, and an absolute dream to train.
Ben will arrive like a whirlwind , his home life exposure is limited and he will require in house management to adjust to a new environment. He is super excited about the big wide world and can get over stimulated easily, therefore he will need an experienced home that can manage and guide this boy into a home transition
Because he can be bouncy when excited, we recommend a home with children aged 12+ who ideally have some dog experience.
With Ben, you’ll truly get out what you put in. His adopters will be offered a handling session to ensure he sets off on the right paw. In the right home, Ben will thrive—and give back so much love and loyalty in return.
