Bobo is a charming gentleman seeking a loving, permanent home after overcoming early hardships. His three-legged posture doesn’t diminish his joyful demeanor. He’s a delightful blend of breeds, culminating in a dog of striking beauty, with symmetrical facial markings and a predominantly white coat adorned with black spots reminiscent of paint splatters. With his absent leg being at the rear, we affectionately describe him as “business in the front, party in the back.”

He was pulled from the public shelter when his friendly nature and laid back attitude lead us to believe that he would be an excellent candidate for adoption. He was found by the shelter with a damaged back leg, likely from a run in with a car, but he has been living on three legs for the majority of his life and has shown no issues at all.

Despite being frequently passed over due to his physical difference, Bobo remains a joy. He’s excellent on a lead and shows a calm demeaner towards other dogs, making him a great candidate for a household with other resident dogs. He would need to be fed separately from other dogs as he can be protective over his food, but this is a common result from dogs who have had to deal with food scarcity in the past.

Being that Bobo is of a more mature age, he has grown out of his puppy excitement and is a well-balanced dog. Older dogs are a great option for people who want a “get what you get” dog with no surprises, he has settled into his personality and takes life in stride.

He would be equally content as the only dog in a home, making an excellent companion for an individual or a couple seeking a dog to pamper. He loves a play in the garden and is a very smart dog. He also loves a cuddle on the sofa or a nap in his bed, he is very well loved by his carers.

He used to share a kennel with another three legged friend, his bestie found a loving home in the UK and now Bobo he is waiting patiently for his ticket on the happy bus.

Unfortunately, he is not cat friendly.

Bobo is fine around children, he loves having a fuss and is always happy to receive treats, which he takes politely. We would rehome his with children over 8, any children in the home would ideally have some previous experience with dogs but this isn’t strictly necessary. We always recommend that dogs are given an open crate so that they can enjoy a quiet corner that is all their own, children should understand that when Bobo is in his bedroom, he would like some peace and quiet.

Besides his missing leg he is very healthy and has shown no signs of issues with his balance, he is quite happy to hop along. We would be happy to rehome him with children over 8 but he would be just as happy with a retired older couple or a family. He just needs a good home.

He has tested negative for brucellosis, leishmaniasis and has passed his Snap 4D test which tests for heartworm, ehrlichia and anaplasma. A happy, healthy boy.
