Mr Colin is a dog who has been in the kennels for a while. We never want to confine our dogs to kennel life, however he has spent most of his life with us, waiting for his ideal forever home. He’s a loveable, cheeky chappie who would be looking for a home that has in-depth knowledge, training & experience working with foreign rescue dogs and dogs with behavioural issues.
He loves his food (sometimes a little too much). He is highly trainable and knows most tricks in the book: sit, down, roll over, stay… You name it! He walks perfectly to heel and has fantastic lead training. He is dog friendly and very polite with dogs he meets on walks. Colin is also fine with cats and small animals outside the house. While Colin has made some great doggy friends at the kennels we would prefer him to be the only dog in the home as he does not believe that “sharing is caring”. He can get protective of his food and toys, resulting in guarding behaviour, we are currently working on this with him and managing appropriately. This would need to be continued in his new home.
Colin is a patient, loving lad to the people he trusts, once he has bonded to you he is such a lovable character with a charming silly streak. We hope to find his perfect match soon.
He has tested negative for brucellosis, leishmaniasis and has passed his Snap 4D test which tests for heartworm, ehrlichia and anaplasma. A happy, healthy, handsome lad
