Little Dino is a delightful charmer on the lookout for a home where he can be the center of attention. This dapper chap may be small in size, but he’s brimming with character. His fluffy coat, a gorgeous mix of brown and blonde hues, boasts natural highlights that could make anyone envious.
At 7 months old he still has some growing to do, not just physically but mentally. He will need plenty of commitment, a home willing to put the time and effort into helping him grow into the well-loved family companion that he has the potential to become. Initially discovered alone on the streets of Macedonia, Dino was quickly taken in by our overseas kennels. It wasn’t long before a family in the UK noticed him. However, puppies require a lot of attention and effort. Underestimating this can lead to unpleasant surprises; puppies are known to nip and eagerly chew on anything within reach with their sharp baby teeth. Additionally, they need to be trained to use the toilet, or they will choose their own spots.
Now that he is with us at our Nottinghamshire kennels, our staff and volunteers are making sure his training is consistent and his positive behaviours are reinforced. He’s mastering the basics, including toilet training, lead walking, and relaxing in his crate. He’s an intelligent pup and thoroughly enjoys his training sessions, particularly when they involve delicious treats. His fluffy tail is always wagging.
Dino is a proper cheerful chap, he is always happy to receive attention and has found that he likes going for rides in the car. He would be a great companion for those seeking an adventurous side-kick. Since he is still young, he can get excitable around new people, especially youngsters. He can be jumpy, purely out of eagerness to say hello. This is something that can be tackled with training but for the moment we would recommend that any children in the home be over 8 just to avoid any accidental tumbles. We would consider younger children as long as they have experience with dogs.
He enjoys the company of other dogs and would be delighted to have a constant playmate, particularly one with a similar enthusiasm for play. Dino, who was previously tested with cats in Macedonia, shows no interest in them; since cats don’t engage in play, offer treats, or toss toys, he’s content to overlook them.
