Henrietta is a lovely older lady who is on the waitlist for a forever home where she can curl up in a warm bed and receive all the love she was missing out on in her younger years. She is adorable, with soft floppy ears, a cheerful smile and a petite stature which would make her a great match for most homes.

Discovered on the streets of Macedonia, Henrietta was in distress, burdened by a large tumor. We immediately provided her with care, and our vet successfully removed the growth. Fortunately, it was benign, and Henrietta has thrived post-treatment, continuing to be a joyful and healthy companion.

She is happy sharing a kennel with other dogs so she would be an ideal candidate for someone wanting to add another dog to their pack. But she would be just as happy being the only pet in a home with a retired owner or with someone who works part-time or from home so that she isn’t by herself all day.

She really enjoys human company, she loves a good fuss and is always happy to see you. Henrietta is exceptionally friendly and would love a home where she can get a daily walk to socialise and say “good morning” to the neighbours. She walks well on the lead and is happy to toddle along and have a sniff every so often.

Henrietta has not been cat tested but we would be happy to do so for a prospective owner, she doesn’t have a lot of experience around children so we would advise that any children in the home be over the age of 12 and ideally have previous experience with dogs.

Adopting an older dog is such a special experience that a lot of people don’t consider. Henrietta is so deserving of a loving home so we ask that people try to keep in mind that age is just a number!
