With his handsome looks and luscious coat, Jackson could easily be the poster boy for a luxury dog shampoo. But despite his striking appearance, he’s as humble as ever. He’s looking for a home where he can enjoy relaxed walks by day and snuggle up in a cosy dog bed at night.

Jackson needs a new home through no fault of his own. His owner, who has lovingly cared for him for the past three years, is heartbroken to part with him but must relocate to care for elderly parents and can’t take Jackson along.

Before coming to the UK, Jackson was rescued from a waterlogged kennel in Macedonia. This left him with a minor issue in one back leg, corrected by surgery. His leg is now slightly shorter, but you’d never know—he loves zooming around the garden and exploring on long walks. His raw food diet and joint supplements keep him in great health, and we’d love for his future owner to continue this.

Jackson is a Sarplaninac, an ancient Macedonian breed known for its fluffy coat and loyal nature. Though originally bred to guard livestock, Jackson is more than happy to be a well-loved family companion. He’s gentle, adaptable, and easygoing in new situations.

He gets along brilliantly with other dogs and enjoys posing for photos with his furry friends. He could live with another dog after a successful meet and greet. He hasn’t been tested with cats, but we can arrange this for an interested adopter.

Jackson could also live with older teenagers and thrives in a calm, relaxed home. He enjoys a quiet environment and is comfortable with visiting children. While he has a gentle nature, he tends to keep to himself around younger kids.

One of Jackson’s greatest loves is water. He enjoys splashing in ponds and streams and would adore a small paddling pool in the garden during summer. However, much to his owner’s amusement, he refuses to go near the sea!

Jackson is a loyal, loving companion who will bring so much joy to his future family. With his gentle nature, playful spirit, and love for adventure, he’s the perfect mix of fun and affection. If you’re looking for a devoted friend to share long walks, cosy evenings, and plenty of bum scratches, Jackson might just be the perfect match for you.
