Kaj is a handsome puppy who is hoping to find a home that will help him grow into the great family companion we know he is. His lovely grey and brown coat is soft and fluffy with puppy fur, as he grows he will be a large boy, hopefully growing into his large ears and overgrown paws.

Kaj and his sister, Sia, were discovered in a secluded forested area by a young couple in Macedonia. With no mother in sight, it was decided that the most compassionate action would be to take them in and find them loving homes. After a bit of vet care and plenty of nutritious food, the pair have flourished in a temporary foster home where they have adapted to home life perfectly. They share a strong bond, having been inseparable since birth and as close as can be. Recognizing the challenge for any adopter to take on two young dogs, we’ve been proactively training them to be comfortable apart, and it’s proving successful. These confident pups are adapting well and could easily settle into separate homes.

Distinguishing Kaj and Sia is straightforward due to Kaj’s darker fur and ears that angle backwards, in contrast to Sia’s lighter coat and her floppy ears that face forwards.

As Kaj will grow into a large dog, training is crucial. He’s already at an advantage, being in a foster home where he’s picking up positive household behaviours. Living with other dogs, he’s learning to play properly and heed their signals, along with enjoying ample playtime with his sister. They’ve both started lead training and are adapting well to using a harness and lead. Kaj’s outgoing and curious nature makes him an ideal partner for group walks and social activities. He would probably love a caravan holiday to the beach one day.

Children are no problem for Kaj, he is a gentle, friendly boy and would get on well in a home with children over 7. Being that he is still young, he is still prone to puppy behaviours but a bit of growing up and some one-to-one training would help him to understand that some things are best saved for when he’s playing with other dogs.

He has not been cat tested but if raised with them he would likely adapt and come to enjoy some feline company, we are always happy to conduct cat tests for prospective owners.

Kaj will be making his way to our Nottinghamshire kennels on the 3rd September, this will give him the opportunity to charm potential adopters in person.
