Maggie Mabel, you absolute nutter! This lovable little lady is searching for a home where she can give you all the love she possibly can. She is a gorgeous girl with mostly white fur, complemented by beautiful brindle ears and an eye patch. She has one of those faces you instantly fall in love with. We believe Maggie Mabel is a Boxer cross, and she certainly has the classic Boxer traits. Affectionate, funny and goofy, with plenty of energy to match.

Sadly, Maggie Mabel’s story has a rather sad start. She came to us after moving between several homes, all trying their best to help her. Originally, she lived with an elderly gentleman who sadly passed away from a heart attack at home, leaving poor Maggie Mabel alone in her crate. We don’t know how long she was there, but her feet were badly burned from having to stand in her own urine. Being the resilient little soldier she is, she hasn’t let her past get in the way of the present.

Still very much a puppy, Maggie Mabel has lots of energy and is still learning how to channel it appropriately, so she can be a bit full-on at times. Her love language is smushing herself as close to you as physically possible. She is an enthusiastic cuddler, loves to play and is incredibly affectionate. She would happily be friends with absolutely everyone.

She is good with other dogs and could be rehomed with a companion following a successful meet-and-greet. However, as she can be a little intense, we would recommend a dog with a similar play style; a calm, older dog would likely find her a bit much.

Maggie Mabel is not suitable for a home with cats or small animals, as she may see them as toys. Speaking of toys, she adores them! Although she tends to express that love with her teeth, so they don’t last very long… Since being in the kennels she is loving cow hooves and buffalo horns, which allow her to nibble to her heart’s content. Although she would prefer if you held it for her so she can have a proper chew, they slip across the floor too fast for her to get a proper grip!

She is currently learning to walk on the lead and is picking up her training very well. Maggie Mabel will thrive in a home that understands boundaries and structure, as this kind of environment will help her flourish. We will provide a handling session before adoption to ensure she starts her new life on the right paw. Start as you mean to go on. She thrives on routine, as you will see from her video, part of our cool-down-before-bed routine includes a cheeky Rich Tea Biscuit, which she takes nicely. This helps all of our dogs calm down before bed time, many of our adopters carry on this tradition into their forever homes.

She absolutely loves children, being closer to her level just makes them easier to kiss! Ideally, children in the home should be aged 8+ to help prevent any accidental tumbles. She would suit an active family where she can share her love and have plenty of people to cuddle with.

Maggie Mabel is currently raw fed and thriving on this diet, and we would love this to be continued in her forever home as she is doing extremely well on it.

We adore her here at the kennels. She is a wriggly ball of love who truly deserves a home that will cherish her for the affectionate, joyful girl she is.
