Ollie is full of character! This lively bundle of energy is looking for a home where he can make friends, have fun, and become someone’s lifelong companion. His sleek black fur is perfectly complemented by the proud white stripe on his chest, and his charmingly curled tail is always wagging—letting everyone know just how happy and lovable he is.

Ollie was one of the lucky ones, rescued from a high-kill shelter. With his pleading expression and shyly twitching tail, we simply couldn’t leave him behind. Once we got him vet-checked, we noticed signs that he had been chained up for a long period. This leads us to believe that while he may have had a home in the past, he was likely treated as an “outdoor accessory” rather than a valued member of the family.

Now, Ollie’s favourite thing is being out of his kennel. He has a lot of energy and would thrive in an active home where he can enjoy daily walks and a few rounds of fetch in the garden. He is bouncy, affectionate, and full of enthusiasm. Ollie adores people and is always eager to give kisses and cuddles to anyone willing to receive them.

He also gets along well with other dogs and would love a playful canine friend in his forever home—ideally one with a similar energy level, as his enthusiasm might be a bit much for an older, calmer dog. That said, he would also be perfectly happy as the only dog in the home, soaking up all the attention and love from his adopter.

Ollie would benefit from some training, but he’s a bright spark who will pick up new tricks quickly—especially if treats are involved! Once he settles into a consistent home routine, he’ll start to relax and learn that not everything requires 100% enthusiasm (though we think his zest for life is part of his charm!).

We haven’t tested Ollie with cats yet, but we can arrange this for an interested adopter. Due to his excitable nature, we recommend any children in the home be over 12 to avoid accidental tumbles. However, with a bit of training, Ollie is sure to be the best friend of any child he meets—especially if they have treats to share!
