We also welcome contributions monthly to our rescue in the form of “the Buddies Club”.
This is our regular donation club which enlists you in our emailing system to receive a newsletter that goes out every month showcasing our activities and goings on within the rescue, meet the team and who is who, which dogs arrived and which dogs were lucky enough to be re-homed.
The money raised through Buddies Club helps us to budget and know what we have in the pot for financing our kennel overheads to include staff wages, food bills and utilities and money needed to cover vets fees. We have a weekly food bill averaging £150 per week… a food pot donation would always be gratefully received.
To donate to the Top Pet Food Donation pot, just ring the phone number 01623 554325 and mention “Doggy Dens” when donating.
We raw feed most of the dogs in kennels if possible and buy from a local supplier. We feed only natural treats and welcome gift packs sent in from our local supplier.
Sarah Meehan very kindly supplies our natural treats at a fabulous discount and supports our rescue with fundraising events within her own business, she also has 3 rescue dogs from us and you will see her always standing locally with her stall.
We run an Amazon Wish List for items that we regularly use and are so grateful for items on the list, the list is updated regularly in line with our kennel needs at the time.
We are currently in the process of building our local foster team. We welcome volunteer foster carers to come forward to initially spend some time working at the kennels with a view to understanding our training methods and individual training programmes for each dog. We aim to build a confident network of foster carers that will support our dog's transition into their new home exposing them to home comforts and environmental experiences.
This is a vital role to play within our charity and gives us the opportunity to assess our dog's adaptation to outside kennel life so that we can place them appropriately in their forever homes.
Please complete the enquiry form if interested. A team member will then contact you.
