The boy as sweet as chocolate, meet Rolo. This charming young lad is a stunning mixed breed with a bubbly personality and boundless enthusiasm. About the size of a Labrador, he’s perfect for cuddles – and with his soft brown fur and striking yellow eyes, he’s a handsome addition to our kennels.

Rolo was originally rescued from one of the many kill shelters in Romania. Our team saw his potential straight away and knew he’d make a wonderful family pet. When he was released from the shelter, he made sure we all knew how grateful he was – eagerly giving kisses to anyone who came close enough. Once he arrived at our Nottingham kennels, we got him started on some much-needed training. He’s a clever boy who picks up new tricks quickly – especially when treats are involved! Being an active dog, he would thrive in a home with an equally active family.

Sadly, Rolo has found his way back to us after being rehomed a few months ago. His high energy levels proved to be a little too much for his previous family, so he’s back with us for now. He absolutely loves racing around the play field and enjoys his daily walks with the kennel staff – always making sure to hand out a kiss and cuddle before they move on to the next dog.

Rolo is currently on a nutritious raw food diet, which has kept him in excellent condition. He’s a massive foodie but will happily drop his buffalo horn if he thinks there’s a chance you’ll throw it for him. Given his size, he’ll benefit from ongoing training to help him remember his manners. He still thinks he’s a puppy and hasn’t quite accepted that he’s too big to be jumping up or trying to climb into your lap! He shows great promise for further training in agility or scent work.

Rolo truly doesn’t have a bad bone in his body. He’s a sweet, affectionate boy who just wants to be part of a loving family – and his tail hasn’t stopped wagging since the day we met him.
