Sadie is a truly beautiful young pup eager to find a forever home where she can play, explore, and become a cherished member of the family. Her gorgeous white-blonde coat, adorned with delicate light brown spots, gives her a unique and charming “tea-stained” look. With her big, soulful eyes and an adorable button nose, she’s the sweetheart of our shelter. Her wagging tail is a constant, joyful presence—only stopping when she drifts off to sleep.
Sadie’s journey began on the roadsides of Macedonia, where she was rescued as a tiny puppy. After spending some time in our overseas kennels, she made her way to the UK, full of hope for a loving forever home. Lucky to be placed in temporary foster care, Sadie quickly became one of the family, fitting right in with the resident pack of four bulldogs. They embraced her wholeheartedly, even as she wholeheartedly embraced her role as the “pesky little sibling” with gusto.
It’s clear to us that Sadie would flourish in a home with another dog. She absolutely loves to play, and having a canine sibling would give her both companionship and entertainment when her owner is out. While she hasn’t had any experience with cats yet, we plan to test her with them soon. Sadie formed a special bond with her bulldog friends in foster care, particularly a gentle giant named Claude—the two were often spotted snuggling together in bed. Her favorite playtime ritual? Rolling onto her back in her bed, legs kicking wildly in the air. We’ve learned not to question her unique antics—they’re just part of her charm!
Sadie is an active, social pup who absolutely loves getting out and about. She’s a joy to take on walks, handling beautifully on a harness and double lead. With her long legs and boundless energy, she’s ready to go the distance, making her an ideal companion for long walks or hikes. A home with scenic walking routes would be perfect for her, and an enclosed garden would provide the ideal space for a game of fetch or a sunny spot to lounge in during the summer.
Children are a relatively new experience for Sadie, but she has developed a positive association with them from the few she’s met, who were absolutely lovely. She can get a bit bouncy when she’s excited, so we recommend that any children in her future home be aged 8 or older to ensure everyone stays safe and avoids any accidental tumbles.
Sadie is incredibly smart and eager to learn, making her highly trainable. With her long legs and agile build, she has the potential to excel in agility training if given the chance. Still in her puppy phase, set to celebrating her first birthday on the 5th December, she’ll need a dedicated home committed to guiding her into becoming a well-mannered, loving adult dog.
Despite her time in the kennels, Sadie’s cheerful spirit remains unshaken. She’s wonderfully adaptable and always ready to charm passers-by, often convincing them to stop in for a quick cuddle, “Go on, stick the kettle on!” Everyone here adores Little Sadie, and we can’t wait to see her thrive in a forever home full of love.
When the day winds down, Sadie is happy to jump in her crate and drift off to sleep curled up in a little white ball. Given her puppyhood she is learning to self settle so we would advise her crate training routine be continued so that she has a quiet space to herself where she can go and chill out when home life gets hectic.
