🐾❤️ BIG BUDDY IS BACK UP FOR ADOPTION ❤️🐾
Our lovely Buddy is sadly back looking for his forever home — and we are determined to find this big, beautiful boy the happiness he deserves. 🐾❤️
Buddy is a very loving and sweet boy who has been part of a family for the past 18 months. He is currently living in the Newcastle area, and ideally we would love to find him a home nearby so that introductions and meets can be carefully managed with any existing family members or dogs.
We will, however, consider other areas for the right home. Buddy’s happiness is what matters most. ❤️
Buddy will be 5 years old in December and, despite being a big lad, he integrates very well with other dogs. He has lived with other dogs and has shown that he can happily coexist with them.
Unfortunately, his current family are finding that he struggles when family and friends visit the home. Their household is busy and bustling, and this environment isn’t allowing Buddy to thrive.
The family are also hoping to adopt a child, and Buddy’s difficulties around visitors are unfortunately becoming a barrier to that process.
This isn’t because Buddy is a bad dog — far from it.
Buddy is a genuinely lovely boy who we feel would flourish in a quieter, calmer environment, with less coming and going and a more predictable routine.
We would say that Buddy isn’t necessarily a first-time dog. He needs someone who understands dogs, can read his behaviour and is confident in managing situations appropriately.
But once you build a relationship with Buddy, you will see what a lovely nature he has — and, of course, those wonderful big ears! ❤️🐾
We are looking for a quieter home where Buddy can enjoy:
🐾 Regular walks
❤️ A calm and predictable routine
🏡 Less household traffic and fewer visitors
🐕 Appropriate introductions and management around other dogs
🧠 An owner who understands and respects his boundaries
❤️ Time to build a trusting relationship with him
As with many dogs, Buddy has natural protective instincts. These instincts aren’t something to punish — they simply need to be understood and managed appropriately, particularly when people are entering his space or home.
The good news is that Buddy can remain in his current home for approximately the next two months, giving us time to find the right placement and hopefully avoid him having to return to kennels.
❤️ Nearly 5 years old
🐕 Good with other dogs when appropriately introduced
💉 Fully vaccinated
✂️ Neutered
📍 Microchipped
🇷🇴 Originally from Romania
📄 Has his APHA Brucellosis certificates
🏡 Currently living in the Newcastle area
Buddy originally came from Romania, and his original rescuer, Karen Carter, will be available to discuss his journey and history with anyone seriously considering giving Buddy a home.
We don’t want Buddy to simply move from one home to another. We want to find the home that is right for him. ❤️
He doesn’t need a busy household. He doesn’t need constant visitors.
He needs peace, routine, understanding, regular walks and someone who will give him the chance to show just how wonderful he really is. 🐾❤️
If you think you could offer Buddy the quieter life he deserves, please get in touch.
Let’s find big Buddy his forever happiness. ❤️🐾
