Jimmy is a lovely older gent looking for a retirement home where he can settle down for a well-deserved nap and enjoy some gentle fuss from his forever family. He has a beautiful coat of fluffy black fur with striking white markings on his chest, along with the classic salt-and-pepper muzzle that comes with age.

Another lucky escapee from a kill shelter in Romania, Jimmy is a sweet soul who truly deserves to spend the rest of his life in a warm, loving home. He enjoys a cuddle, loves a gentle stroke, and shyly wags his tail to ask for more. He would be a perfect match for an older household or a single owner. At his age, he’s unlikely to be up for long, strenuous walks, but a gentle meander around the neighbourhood would be just right to keep him happy. He’s familiar with a lead and collar but would benefit from some heel work—so keeping a few treats in your pocket might be a good idea!

Jimmy gets on well with other dogs and would be happy sharing his forever home with a companion of a similar age. An active younger dog might be a bit too much for him. Since much of Jimmy’s early life is unknown, we would prefer any children in the home to be over 12 and able to understand that dogs sometimes need space and time to settle into new environments. A crate would be a great way for Jimmy and his future owners to ensure he has a quiet retreat whenever he needs some time to himself.
