Meet Charlie, a beautiful boy with a super nature who is looking for someone to give him the chance to enjoy life again. 🐶❤️
We have visited Charlie and carried out a trainer’s assessment, and what we found was a really sweet, friendly boy who, unfortunately, has found himself in a difficult situation.
Charlie needs a fresh start, someone to guide him, help him build his confidence and show him that there is so much more to life than the four walls he has become accustomed to. 🐾❤️
Charlie is a French Bulldog/Staffordshire Bull Terrier cross, who will be 4 in January. He is vaccinated, microchipped and neutered.
He has lived in his home for the past couple of years. Sadly, one of his owners passed away last year, and Charlie has remained with his mum ever since.
Unfortunately, Charlie hasn’t been out for a walk in over a year. His mum is unable to walk him because he struggles on the lead, but this is something we believe can be worked on with patience, consistency and the right training. ❤️🐾
Imagine spending so long without experiencing the world beyond your home. Charlie deserves the opportunity to explore, sniff, learn, enjoy regular walks and simply be a dog again.
Charlie has lived alongside the resident cat for a long time. They would play together as they normally did, but tragically, an incident occurred during play in which the cat was injured and sadly passed away.
This was not described as an intentional attack, but it was a devastating accident with a heartbreaking outcome.
Because of this incident, Charlie must be rehomed to a home without cats. His future home will need to understand the importance of appropriate boundaries, supervision and safe management.
His mum has recognised that, despite the love she has for him, Charlie needs more than she can currently provide. She has bravely reached out to rescue for help in finding him a safe and suitable new home.
Sometimes loving a dog means recognising when their needs can be better met somewhere else. It is a heartbreaking decision, but putting Charlie’s future first is an act of love in itself. ❤️
Charlie needs a home where he can finally begin to experience life properly again.
❤️ Someone who will take him on regular walks and help him learn to walk comfortably on the lead.
🐾 Someone who understands that training, routine and boundaries are just as important as affection.
🧠 Someone who can help him develop independence and confidence, rather than relying on constant petting and reassurance.
🥩 A nutritious, balanced diet to help him gain weight and get into better condition, as he is currently a little underweight.
🏡 A loving home where he can feel safe while learning new skills and discovering the world at his own pace.
Charlie has plenty of love in his life, but sometimes love alone isn’t enough. He needs guidance, experience, structure and the opportunity to fulfil his potential.

🐱 Cats: No cats, for everyone’s safety.
🦮 Lead walking: Needs training and support.

Charlie can be met locally and will remain in his current home while we look for the right placement.
Charlie isn’t a bad dog. He is a dog whose life has become very limited, and he now needs someone willing to help him take those next steps.
We want him to enjoy walks, experience new things, learn boundaries and discover the world with someone who understands him.
He deserves more than simply existing in the same routine day after day. He deserves the chance to thrive.
