Harry, a distinguished and handsome senior, is searching for a forever home where his charm will be cherished. His gorgeous golden coat and warm brown eyes make him an endearing sight, and his funny expressions and playful antics meant that we have really fallen in love with him at the kennels.

Harry was saved from a public shelter in Macedonia, where sadly, it’s not unusual for older dogs to be abandoned. He spent some time in our Macedonia Kennels before he was due to travel to the UK to meet his adoptive family. However, upon the bus’s arrival, his new family was missing; they had backed out last minute. As a result, Harry is now with us at the Nottinghamshire Kennels.

Harry is an energetic soul, despite his age, who thrives on long nature walks, eagerly exploring every sight and scent. He could easily pass for half his age. While he can occasionally be a bit strong on the lead, we are dedicated to his training, and it would be wonderful if his future owner could continue guiding him in lead etiquette. He’s sociable with all dogs and adores human attention. Given his size, we recommend a home with children over 12 to prevent any accidental tumbles.

Harry is undoubtedly a foodie at heart. He adores eating and is constantly on the hunt for snacks. Highly motivated by food, he would go to great lengths for a treat. If you’re open to sharing, you’ll quickly become Harry’s favorite person. Upon his arrival, we implemented a diet and exercise regimen, and he has noticeably lost weight. However, given the choice, we believe Harry would opt to be a bit plumper, so it’s wise to keep food out of his reach.

Harry has never lived with cats, so we wouldn’t place him in a home with cats or small animals. His preference leans towards dogs or humans. He takes pleasure in lounging in our office, seizing moments to snuggle and possibly sneak a biscuit when unnoticed. He adores stretching out on the rug, letting out a deep sigh, and drifting off to sleep.

Harry is intelligent and highly motivated by food, making training a breeze; he has already mastered the basics. He settles down nicely in the evenings and adores his bed. In fact, upon completing his journey from Macedonia to the UK, he promptly conked out in his crate and slept for the remainder of the day. Not that we can blame him, we’re just glad he doesn’t snore.

Harry has been tested, vaccinated, neutered and microchipped. A healthy, happy gent.
