Kenny, our tall, dark, and handsome friend, is in search of a new home following his rescue from the streets of Romania. He’s a stunning lad adorned with mostly black fur, save for the striking white patch on his chest. His large, chestnut-coloured eyes glisten in the light, seemingly holding the mystical ability to earn cuddles from all who meet his gaze.
He was discovered in quite a pitiful condition, wandering the streets without a collar and no owner to be found. We couldn’t just watch him suffer from hunger, so we brought him to our foster kennels. Here, he’ll be well-fed and cared for while he awaits a loving, forever home.
Kenny is a spirited young dog, even though he’s no longer a puppy. He appears to have grasped that with regular meals, there’s less to fret about, allowing him to relish life’s pleasures. Keen to explore his surroundings by scent, he’s sociable with other dogs and, despite his larger size, he interacts well with canines of all sizes in the kennel. He would be well-suited to a home with another dog that shares his zest for play. He likes a rub under his chin and is always happy to get a gentle pat on the head.
Kenny would thrive best in a home without cats. While he hasn’t been aggressive towards them, his love for chase games may not be well-received by feline companions.
Lead training is an area where Kenny could use some assistance. He knows the limit of his lead and usually doesn’t pull beyond it, but he may wrap around your legs when excited. A home with a garden would be beneficial for him to expend some energy before going on a walk. As a clever dog, he’s likely to learn new tricks quickly, particularly with the incentive of tasty treats.
He can be a bit bouncy so children over 12 would be ideal.
