Mist is a beautiful lady in search of a home that will allow her the time to settle in after a challenging beginning. She is simply stunning with a striking red coat that shines in the sun with a darker patch forming a “saddle” on her back, completed by a bright white patch that travels from under her chin down to her tummy. She is a unique blend of breeds that has resulted in a truly gorgeous dog. In some of her photos she has the most adorable “guilty” look, like she’s done something naughty and is waiting for you to notice.

Her tale echoes that of Beth, another rescue who was discovered on the mountainside among a pack of feral dogs. Unfortunately, instead of blending in, Mist became a target for the more dominant dogs. Her situation was dire, and had we not intervened, her fate would have been grim. Now, she resides in our kennels, hopeful for a chance to thrive as a beloved pet.

Now that she doesn’t have to suffer the blazing heat or harsh winters in the mountains we would love to see her in a home where she can have a chance to play and enjoy life rather than just survive on the bare minimum. An enclosed garden would be lovely so that she can roll in the grass and play a few games of fetch. She walks nicely on the lead and is always happy to be out and about, we can see her enjoying time at the park or even the beach. Mist likes to snuggle up in her bed at the end of the day, a crate would be a good way to give her a private area away from the hustle and bustle but she does love a cuddle so a bed in the living room or even a spot on the sofa would make her very happy.

She is a lovely polite dog who would get on well in most households, she is a surprisingly quiet dog who is very respectful around other animals. We would consider rehoming her with another dog but Mist would be just as happy being the only dog in the home, the apple of her owner’s eye. She hasn’t been cat tested but given her gentle nature we imagine she would be absolutely fine, we are always happy to conduct a proper cat test for a prospective owner.

Mist is a clever lady and would easily pick up more tricks with some one-to-one training, while she does not have extensive experience with children we would confidently rehome her with children over 7. Her patient and respectful demeanour would make her a great friend for children as long as she is allowed some quiet time when needed.

Mist has been with us for some time and we would love for her to find her way into a loving home. She is such a fantastic candidate for adoption.
